Raw Cinnamon Raisin Granola Bars
Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 1:41PM Cinnamon Raisin Granola Bars are Delicious!
Delicious raw cinnamon raisin granola bars are a great snack on their own, perfect raw travel food, and can be broken up into small pieces and topped with raw milks as a granola cereal. This is a favorite recipe that utilizes the pulp from making fresh almond milk with cinnamon, raisins, and nutritious seeds for a trail mix crunch. These are an energizing nutritious raw snack to pack with you to keep going throughout your day.
- 1 c. almond pulp, leftover from fresh almond milk
- 6 dates, pitted
- 1/4 c. pepitos
- 1/4 c. sunflower seeds
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/8 c. agave nectar
- 1/8 c. coconut oil
- 1/8 c. sesame seeds
- 1/8 c. hemp seeds
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- First, soak the sunflower seeds and the pepitos overnight. Drain and rinse well before using.
- Add the almond pulp and dates to a food processor and mix until combined well.
- Melt the coconut oil if needed, by putting the oil in a glass measuring cup or jar in a warm water bath until liquid.
- Put the almond date mix in a medium bowl with all other ingredients and mix well by hand.
- Spread onto a teflex dehydrator sheet and dry in the dehydrator at 115 degrees. After 6 - 8 hours, when the top is totally dry, put mesh sheet on top and flip over. Peel the teflex sheet off the bottom and dry longer until dry thoroughly, another 12 - 16 hours.
- Score into granola bars when done, or crumble into granola cereal.
- Eat them on their own or with almond milk or hemp milk.

Hi ... LOVE YOUR BLOG by the way ... just found it today and I so will be stopping by more often!
This recipe is awesome! I cannot wait to try it, mind if I add a link from my blog to this one ... I just wrote a post about going raw and snacking on raw pumpkin seeds (which are WONDERFUL!).
Anyway, came across this recipe looking for a picture of pumpkin seeds would ya believe and found this blog and it's now added to my reader.
Weird thing the internet-webby thingy.
One more thing ... this post doesn't show up on your recipe index. BUMMER! I almost lost this particular post and had to search for pictures again to find it. But I did ...
Or maybe just have a search button on the main page to search for keywords in your blog someplace.
Hope I'm not sounding critical ... I'm not ... but LOVE this recipe and don't want to loose it again!
Thanks again.
Hi Melissa! Thanks for the feedback. This recipe is in the recipe index, it's under breakfast, cause I usually snack on this as a morning treat or break it up into granola. Thanks for bookmarking the site and thanks for your comments! Be well, Kara
